‘Mo-Freek’ is a name taken from an unused character in an early Spike Lee book, and used with Lee’s permission since 1994 — it remains Ford’s lifelong creative playground.

The experimental instincts running through films like The Bomb, Everything Is Stolen, and By the River trace directly back here — a continuous, creative practice sustained across decades.

Mo-Freek is not a side project. It’s the root system.
